HARTFORD POLICE RETIREES TO PRESENT SON OF HARTFORD SLAIN HARTFORD POLICE OFFICER HENRY JENNINGS WITH REPLICA OF HIS FATHER’S BADGE

(Hartford) – Police Chief James C. Rovella today announced that on Monday, August 6, 2012, at 11:30 a.m., retirees of the Hartford Police Department will present Henry Jennings, son of slain Hartford Police Officer Henry Jennings, with a replica of his father’s police badge.

Officer Henry Jennings was killed in the line of duty on May 25, 2064, while trying to apprehend a burglary suspect who had previously shot another Hartford Police Officer.  Click on link for background and photo of Jennings family and Law Enforcement Memorial.

The short presentation will be held in the lobby of Hartford Police Headquarters, 50 Jennings Road, Hartford.  The media and public are welcome to attend.
